DEADLY PRODUCTS DON’T BELONG ON PHARMACY SHELVES
Last year, more than 5,000 people helped us send Walgreens a vital message: deadly, addictive products do not belong in pharmacies. They sent us a BS, canned response and never took action. Tobacco is the number one cause of preventable death in the US (still), and it takes 1,300 American lives every single day. So why is Walgreens still selling these deadly products?
THE BIG IDEA: Pharmacies should sell products that help save lives, not the other way around. So we’re showing up at Walgreens with a few dozen of our undead friends to remind them that while they drag their feet on the decision to take tobacco off the shelves, more people are getting sick and losing their lives.
STEP 1: Sign the letter petition and urge Walgreens to remove deadly products from their shelves. Do good things, plus you might win an Amazon gift card just for taking action. (More on that below.)
STEP 2: Take a selfie using our custom zombie filter (You can even zombify your face!)
STEP 3: Upload your photo for a chance to appear in our zombie protest member gallery.
STEP 4: Urge your friends to join the movement and share via social media or email.
We’re giving away twenty $50 Amazon gift cards to a random selection of petition signers -- all you have to do is sign, and you’ll be entered. Helping save lives is the best. But treating yourself to a new book, gadget, or 20-pack of tube socks afterwards? Even better. (Official Promotion Rules)
THE BOTTOM LINE: With other major pharmacies like CVS and Target dropping tobacco, it’s past time for Walgreens to do the same. Cigarettes are not happy or healthy, and they don’t belong on pharmacy shelves. Join the fight and help us save (real, non-zombie) lives.
