McCalls's Story

McCall started vaping nicotine her freshman year of high school. After four years of being addicted, she made the decision to quit. It wasn’t easy — even McCall wasn’t convinced she could actually quit — but she did it. Now, she’s been nicotine-free for over a year.

“My dream for my future is taking care of my body and my mind, and nicotine just isn’t a part of that story.”

Cristina's Story

Cristina quit vaping on December 17, 2020. When cravings hit, she beats them by getting lost in what she loves, like writing a song or starting a sewing project. She's still figuring it all out, and she wants others to know that's okay.

"I want people to know that I am just a 23 year old girl who's still figuring it all out. I mean we all are. But above everything else, I want to end the negative stigma surrounding mental health."

Kendall's Story

Kendall started vaping as a freshman in high school. Soon, the cravings were so bad she couldn't go longer than 30 minutes without her vape. Then she realized nicotine was impacting her mental health, and she made the decision to quit.

"I noticed really big changes in my mental health the week before I quit. I was in this crazy depressive rut. Then, I quit, and it slowly fizzled away."

Bryan's Story

For Bryan, vaping started as a social thing at parties. Eventually, he realized that nicotine was controlling his emotions more than he realized. Now, he's found space for a new, healthy, creative lifestyle.

"I would consider myself a really positive and healthy person so even I'm surprised at how deep this vaping habit went and how much I let it affect me. Nobody's immune to it but everyone can take themselves out of it."

When Sophia started vaping, she didn't see it as dangerous or even addictive. But after three months, she began feeling pain in her throat and lymph nodes, and her need to vape was worse than ever. She knew it was time to quit.
