Just a thought

We’ve been seeing a lot of great design we absolutely hate lately.
That’s a funny concept isn’t it? We can totally think a designer is doing something right, even genius maybe, yet the finished product is something we wouldn’t touch with a 30-foot pole. Like the recent flood of typography-laced clothing designs.
A better way to put our feelings: We hate great application of a mediocre idea, or mediocre application of a great idea.
We love typography. We love seeing it become such a part of fashion this season. But then we see lonesome curse words, bold and emblazoned across some of the season’s best wool beanies, long sleeve tees etc. Great color schemes and wordplay aside, they’re not sending a lot of positive energy into the world. It’s not edgy, it’s embarrassing, if you ask us, but what do you think?
